Great question! The English language is full of Greek words, or words that are derived from the Greek. Many of our names and cities are Greek. Philadelphia, for example, is translated as the city of brotherly love. Western civilization as we know it came from Greece. Not just Alexander the Great, but the Greeks civilized the Romans and made their empire flourish. Agape - deep intimate love, Filio - brotherly love. Eros - erotic love. Heck, what a fantastic language that has more than one word for love. It needs more than one.
