I have a westell wireless dsl modem which hooked up with the dsl already. I've bought a belkin 802.11g PCMCIA card for my laptop but it doesn't recieved enough reception. So I'm thinking to get a MIMO PCMCIA card for a better coverage.

My question is do I need a MIMO router to work with the MIMO card to gain a better coverage?

Thanks
Aaron C.

Yes, you do need the router, MIMO is built into the chipsets, and there are typically more physical antennas involved, so you can't just replace the NIC in the laptop, but the router needs to be upgraded also.
