Any nonabrasive cleanser and a scrub brush...

Keeping your bathtub spa clean is quite easy. Most homeowner complaints are usually related to black algae looking stuff floating in the water. This is normal, as soap and body oils will cling to the inner walls of the PVC piping of the tub over a long period of time.

The best way to clean the tub is to fill it with very warm water, add 1/2 cup of household bleach for a standard size tub, (a full cup for a large tub). Run the jets for about 15 minutes, drain the tub, and then rinse it well. Some residual black residue may still be present in the plumbing, and most of it will go away if you refill the tub, run the jets a minute or so, and then drain it again.

BUT BE CAREFUL: Be sure that children are kept away from the tub when it has the bleach in it, and it is recommended that you remain in close proximity to the tub to ensure that they are not allowed to play in the water. Excessive amounts of chlorine fumes may be present when the jets are running, and can cause burning of the eyes, and respiratory problems. In any case, be sure to read and follow the warning label on the bleach container.

all the cleaning answers were good. If the tub is ashiny surface, before you refill, put an appliance wax on the tub. It practically eliminates the scum line. If you tub is textured, guess you could do this also, but watch out you don't slip and fall.

Assuming you maintained your water with bromine or chlorine, if you just drained it, you shouldn't have to do much other than wipe it down with a clean rag. If you get the scum build-up at the water line, try a gentle filter cleaner like eco-soak, heavily diluted, then rinse. Don't use anything abrasive. If you're not re-filling anytime soon, be sure to blow out the lines and pump.

It is best to use those cleaning supplies provided by companies that sell/make hot tubs. You don't want to risk using something that can cause damage to your hot tub motor/jets or the tub surface.

Call your local hot tub retailer, by looking in the yellow pages or online, and ask them what they would recommend.

Just a wet towel works well, don't use cleaner unless you REALLY are going to rinse it out well. Then use Windex.

Windex is good. Also just plain water and vinegar.

Use Comet. It works really good. Just make sure you aren't wearing good clothes. It is bleach and use an older rag!

We use warm water and a rag. You don't want to use anything that will leave a film of any kind.
