how come whenever you say the SLIGHTEST thing like "we were up the whole night together!" like, say you were at a sleepover. people always get the wrong idea and tell everybody about it and they take the piss out of you for days?

I've never been to / in or invited to attend a 'sleep-over,' and I'm really not sure what one is! ...other than an alien American-ism.
Maybe it's on a par with that euphemism, 'we slept together' when the last thing indulged in was 'sleeping,' and in fact is a code for 'having sex with each other' (why not bloody say so..!)
As for 'others taking the piss out of it for days,' I haven't had that experience and can't comment on it ...other than to suggest that 'you refrain from talking about such things in front of the children.'

They only take the Mick cos you rise to it,
Just add "Oooer missis" or "Said the Bishop to the Nun" when they say somthing like that to you they will soon get bored and the same responce shows you are not getting wound up over it, which is what they want.
If they cant wind you up they wont bother after a while,

I'M in my 40's and i still sleep over. Its great enjoy it. The people who take the piss are the ones whom generally don't get to sleep over because they are to SHALLOW.
