If everyone who said they were open minded were...we'd have no use for the term, we are all closed off to some things, so if everyone closed minded kept their mouths shut nothing would ever be said...and that would make it pretty hard to try to open people's minds...

Also, The people with open mind's keep quiet and I KNOW EXACTLY WHY!
People with open minds are usually people who know there is something wrong but if they said anything people with closed minds would look down to them.

Bertrand Russell observed that a permanently open mind was a permanently vacant one. You vcant keep an open mind all the time you need to make decisions too

They are predisposed to engage their mouths before they engage the brain, it's a genetic thing.
Actually, it's a 'hook' for them to sound off on the subject they feel the most passionate about. In many respects, they remind me of my grandfathers generation, where they knew a great deal about so little.

It works especially well when they stick their heads out of moving car windows- the wind passes in their mouths, through the empty space in their heads, then out their ears- making a neat whistly sound which they enjoy.
