The spark plugs on my 4 banger dodge colt w/ mitztbuishi engine were white around the electrode, what does that mean?

White plugs are usally from overheating or timing problems, the plus should be tan/brown if its running right.
things that can cause a white plug is
low octane fuel
cooling sytem problems
wrong fuel/air mix
timing issues

Ideally they should be an ash grey. The leaner the mixture the lighter the color. IF the car is running and driving well I would not worry about it.

white is pretty normal. if there is any blistering of the insulator, buld up of crutsy looking stuff, black or wet looking those arn't good.
