Harry Belafonte:

Here's what Belafonte said: "In the days of slavery, there were those slaves who lived on the plantation and there were those slaves that lived in the house. You got the privilege of living in the house if you served the master." He added: "Colin Powell's permitted to come into the house of the master. When Colin Powell dares to suggest something other than what the master wants to hear, he will be turned back out to pasture."

What happened?
Exactly this?

Hey, I love Belafonte. I'm so glad he's still vertical! I grew up hearing his music at my parent's house and loved it. Hey, lighten up-- I'm happy when any old person has the spirit and life left in them to have a strong opinion. (see Winston Churchill).
His words were intended to provoke, obviously. Condi's clearly a really really bright woman-- perhaps in the crummy position of having to voice responses she may not really believe. Maybe she IS a toady, I don't know. Maybe she's gotten in too deep behind the wrong horse (mixing metaphors).

Bottom line--I think Belafonte has it pretty right.

Okay, now I've read your added information (Harry's exact words)
You ask if that's what's happened? HECK YES that's what's happened.

Belafonte is a racist pig. I bet David Duke isn't 1/10 as racist as that goon. I'd lynch him and I'm black. Condy is part of a great team that is doing some good things for the USA whether you like it or not.

One thing is for sure beyond a shadow of a doubt. Condi certainly was taught well and never fails to use her skills at double talking.

Such typical disparaging and hateful words from leftists.

To leftist stooges like Bolshevik Belafonte, any black person who isn't an out and out socialist and Democrat must be wrong. Because, I suppose, to them, blacks are not human enough to be individuals that think for themselves.

Belafonte is a racist swine. Maybe he should just 'tally his bananas' and leave politics to intelligent people like Condi.

Yes, and notice, that as a woman, she followed three steps behind Colin Powell.

That is best left for you to decide. Do some research about her. I wish I had just a little of her ability.

Absolutely.
Just look at her role in this administration.
It's as plain as her buck-toothed smile...
