Most schools grade on a curve, so all you have to do to get an A is do better than most of the rest of the class. Exactly what portion of the class gets an A depends on how they do the curve, but grading on a curve guarantees that some portion of the students will get A's, meaning it's absolutely possible. Just study hard and do your best on everything.

O-Chem was a lot easier than Gen. Chem for me. The best way to get an A is to study. Do the homework over and over again. The hard part in Gen. Chem was that there was a concept behind everything. This is also true for O-Chem but if you know how do the reactions you'll know the whole concept of the particular organic compound you're studying.

I got an A in it... you just have to really work at it. Make flashcards of the reactions, read the textbook, attend class, take notes and don't slack off on it. You need to keep up with the material and ask questions the second you get lost, not several days later.
