If you are arriving via air to Mexico City, you can take a cab to the TAPO bus terminal, buses to Puerto Escondido leave from there and it takes about 6 hours to get to Puerto Escondido for around $50.

the bus line cristobal Colin i don't remember the station name look in most any travel book it will tell you i use lone ly planet. i go from mexixo df to oazaca 5 hrs.spend the night same bus line oaxaca escondito 7-8 hrs. if you have never been to porto you will like it good surf and sea food. prices are good for a beach town porto has most any thing you want andyou can walke it. i walk from bus station to my hotel. I think the bus station in df is tapo?

Bus from Tasqueña Station, but it would take 20 hours and 70$ USD one way.
Airplane: www.mexicana.com, www.clickmx.com, about 150$ USD and 1 hour round trip.

You have to go to the west Bus terminal. It is located close to the Metro station "Observatorio" but you better chech with the bus line you want to use. One option would be http://www.etn.com.mx/ or http://www.estrellablanca.com.mx/main/index.htm or
