There's something for everyone. Whimsical plot and simple plot for young children, pot-smoking caterpillars for teenagers, and deep profound implications for adults.
I love that book too. 8D

Because it makes even more sense now that you're an adult. I read it when i was a kid and so much stuff went over my head. I'm currently reading it to my daughter. We do a chapter a day. She's really into it. I think as she gets older she'll get more of the "logic" to it; for now it's a fun story.

It has the magic of bringing you back to a time that was magical in your life and that makes you feel good, there's nothing wrong about it.
We like to be in our confort zones and reading what you wrote this sounds like one of those situations where Alice in the Wonderland puts back in your confort zone.
Sort of like a "security blanket" for you everytime you re-read the book.

You probably like to believe that Wonderland really exists, but I think it's great for an adult to like fantasy stories.

Um, I hate to be the one to spoil your fun, I'm kidding, I love it really, but why don't you try picking something else up? There are so many other books, better books, out there. personally I love books by Tamora Pierce, Robin Jarvis and Melissa Nathan, who is now unfortunately dead, died of cancer in April. I found Carroll's Alice books a bit boring.

I think everyone has a favourite book that they go back to. I think it's as much about reliving your childhood as it is about the story itself. I still love The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and I can still remember going to the back of my wardrobe in the hope I'd find Narnia! LOL.

I LOVE IT, TOO! I think it's Carrol's extreme creativity. Where else are there Mad Hatters and smoking caterpillars? And Alice's accidental way of falling into this alternate world kind of makes you want to find your own white rabbit. : -)
Great classic.

It is like the things you see in your dreams, extremely strange, therefore like our dreams we find it fascinating, bewildering, frightening and funny all at the same time. It is a very odd tale, so like a weird dream we want to revisit through fascination and a need to make sense of it,!!!!!!!!! If that makes any sense !!!!!!
