It's the DHA, which is what makes you tan. Other ingredients in the mix, along with your own body chemistry, will alter the scent. You just have to find one that works for you. Most of the "daily" products like Jergens Natural Glow have a smaller amount of DHA, meaning less smell. I like Neutrogena Summer Glow and Coppertone Endless Summer Sunless Tanning Foam, those two are the ones that don't make me smell like bacon!

not all tanning products smell like roses, some smell like poo poo.
