Why shall God exist?

Question

I ain't etheist. Much by the contratry, I take his existence as obvious as well as necessary. It does exist universally and necessarily.

You see, if It did not exist, the goodness would not have its end neither a other world nor in this one.

What do you think of that? Why should It exist, given that everything that exists exists for some end, teleologically speaking.

God must exist because humans cannot stomach the very real possibility that their existence will end the moment their hearts stop beating and the only thing left for them to do is provide nutrients to worms and bacteria.

If God didn't exist, we'd have to invent him.

I'm not an atheist either, given that I cannot prove that God doesn't exist.
Where is it "given" though that everything exists for some end? Couldn't it be an evolutionary fluke?
And is goodness the result of there being a God? Are you talking about inquisition, about the crusades, about what the Spanish did to the natives of newly discovered America, about what fundamentalists of any religion do in physical or psychological ways?
Does an omnipotent god, who is love, really have to send his son into this world to be crucified, so that he can forgive the original sin (if that ever took place)????

Because it takes our minds off the fact that we cannot be anymore smaller and insignificant in this universe and to the cycle of life. To this universe we're like a grain of sand in ALL of the ocean in this planet, and this is left short by the fact that the universe has no limitations, it is infinite. Our minds cannot conceive the thought that our existence is that meaningless and that IT might even be, in the end of time when all the answers are answered, something that occurred by mere chances, a single atom exploded with another and boom... we come to be. God is there to make our forthcoming more "special" with an actual purpose as to why we came to be and why we will all one day die, and as logical as this might sound for some people, it is still nothing more than a sugar coated version of us just existing for the simple purpose of dying, period... and in the end sugar's always sweeter than salt, therefore we just... believe.

The Absolute Truth, the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the source of all material and spiritual manifestations. And if we examine ourselves closely we can understand something of the nature of God. Just as a drop of ocean water has the same qualities as the whole ocean, our spiritual nature is equal to that of God's. We are eternal, God is eternal. We are full of bliss, God is full of bliss. We are full of knowledge, God is full of knowledge. We are persons, God is also a person. The difference is that we are the energy, He is the energetic source of our existence. He is the maintainer, we are the maintained. We know what is happening in our own sphere -- this body, where as the Lord knows what is happening in all of existence.

God exists so that we can have an excuse to say that our failures aren't our own and that someone else is making these plans for us. Humans aren't comfortable taking the blame for things and don't want to really try to understand why some things happen.
