I'd prefer not to sit at home as a prisoner, but i'd be happy to do all the houswork and take care of the kids. I would probably like to do at least some volunteering during a part of the day, just to get out of the house for a little bit.
Of course, all that is fine, provided the wife doesn't at any point think that the money she earns is hers. It's ours to use together.
I'm an amazing cook by the way.
Cheers :)

I know my son would love to be a househusband, but unfortunately his wife is not able to support the family so he will have to keep working. He adores his children and his home and would have liked to be able to spend more time with them in it.

Yes This is from a woman's view! We would love to swap places, guess what his wages are a lot higher then mine. So we would not have what we have now. And not be able to pay a mortgage!

dont mind either way really. its the ladys choice whether or not she wants to work. if she was making all the dosh the least i could is cook her a meal everyday for when she gets home and pamper her (on top of doing the housework)
i dont want to stereotype but im guessing i would feel weird if i shared a place with a partner and i didnt work........cos i think us guys should work!!

i dont see what the problem is or why we are referred to as "mr.mom". as a bloke i have just as much emotional attachement to my children as my partner, and believe that she has as much commitment to providing for our family as i do. i think that old fashioned values are still in society today and that the best way to deal with these things are as a "family unit", a team. my children teach me to use computers, should i be embarrassed by that? no. so i shouldnt be so up myself as to believe that i am the best provider, the smartest or the one that my family depends on. we are a team and a family and family MUST come first. p,s shes good at diy aswell

My husband is disabled so he is a Mr. Mom while I work full time. While I don't think he prefers it, he likes it except on his "bad days" when there's not much he can get done because of his nerve disease.
