We should drink 64 oz of water daily. How does the way or when we drink it effect the bennefits of drinking it. Should it be sipped often, or is it just as benneficial to split that 64oz into 4 servings and "chug" each one and certain times throughout the day?

Water is the main chemical in your body that compromises around 60% of your weight. Water helps cleanse out toxins from vital orgins. Toxins building up in your body can cause a slower metabolism, as well as bad breath. Water also helps soften your stool to avoid painful constipation as stool can be came hard and glumped together because the digestive system extracts fluids from your digested foods in the process. Water can also carry nutrients to your cells and hydrates your skin and prevents major clogged pores all over your face.

When you sweat, urinate, or even breathe, you are losing liquid from your body. Water helps replenish it as the day goes on. Not drinking enough water can cause headaches and dehydration which can lead to fainting.

I suggest you drink 1-2 Litres (6-8 glasses) of water everyday at a moderate pace to keep up constant and proper intake to keep the body healthy as a person loses on average 1.5 Litres of fluid a day. If you exercise and sweat a lot, you may need a lot more of it. Any additional factors to losing fluids from your body such as illnesses, environment, and pregnancy/breast-feeding must be considered. The more fluid your body releases, the more liquids you need to drink to replenish it for a healthy, well kept body. If you feel that you have to chug down a lot at a time, try using a 350mL water bottle so it doesn't feel like you have so much to consume at once, and refill it a few times each day. You can never drink too much water!

Whichever works for you. Actually, you might do better to have a few 'chugs' with 'sips' in the middle.

you drink it when you are thirsty.

remember most cases of hunger isn't hunger it's dehydration (mild) so most likely you're thirsty.

drink when you feel you need it. not everyone needs those 8 glasses a day. do what your body needs not what the textbook says.

"chugging" may lead to drowning....six to eight ounces of water (glass full) per meal, plus one about midways might be better for you:)
