How can people put a ship in the bottle?

Some people acctually do it through the small opening, but it does take a long time and pacience. Most of the ones that you see have either a leather strap going around it holding the bottle on a base or wood. Behind that the bottle is cut and the ship is put in.

The ship is folded so it can fit into a bottle, once in the bottle a string is pulled to unfold it.
