Ok, 9/11 was a horrible thing but isn't moving on apart of the grieving process? When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor I bet they didnt go on and on about it like we are doing. The only reason we are drowning in this 9/11 sea of ennui is because we have an idiot for the President who has a stupid war for Oil and now we have all our soilders dying because of him. Bush is an @$$. Don't forget the victims but dont keep pulling off the scab either. Am I wrong??

While I wouldn't have said it quite so...bluntly, I would have to agree with you. Unfortunately, we as a people are unable to move on...and I don't blame it entirely on Bush, either. A lot of the country believes the same thing.

I don't think we should ever forget what happened...Ever. But I also don't believe that 9/11 should be used as a marketing tool, as I think it's being used in many ways. It's also being used to justify lots of public policies within the government.

I feel that we need to remember it, but it wasn't an accident. This event has been building for years. More than move on, we need to learn from the events that occurred and become better because of it.

While moving on is a part of the grieving process, it's also the last part and the hardest part. Many people are probably not ready to move on and I think that in many ways they're not being helped by the overwhelming amount of political dogma being spouted from all sides of the spectrum.

Unfortunately it's not just a President Bush thing, or Republican things or a Democrat thing. There are many, many political pundits and thinkers that are dwelling on the past rather than bothering to learn from it and begin the healing process.

My parents lived through December 7, they sometimes talk about it, this was a horrible act of violence for them. There are people who still grieve over December 7 because they lost someone that they loved. 9/11 is no different. It was caused by terrorists it was a violent act. We will talk about all the wars, all the violence and even 9/11 until we die. People died. Innocent people died. It is something that we can put into a drawer and forget.

I did not vote for President Bush, I do not believe in this war, but I support our troops because the "need" our support, they need to know we are there for them when they come back.

9/11 was a senseless act of violence, along with December 7. We will always remember, we will never forget.

you are so wrong. People have moved on. You need to sit down with a widow of a person who died there and talk about her day to day life, not just today. The reason we are flooded with 9/11 stuff is not because of the President, but because the media coverage. They sensationize everything and this is no exception. Its a media event more so than anything else. Pearl Harbor isn't done in this way because it happened a long time ago, and we didn't have the media coverage that we have today.

You're an Idiot! If we forget about what happened, it will happen again. How can you be so selfish in your thought process????? I am sure they talked about the attack on Pearl Harbor as much as they talk about the attack on the Twin towers. And ripping on the president is so old too. Get a life and start feeling some empathy.

People are obsessed with tragedies. They keep remembering the holocaust, Hiroshima and now 9/11 because they can't accept death. People should try to understand death and stop with all the worship of the dead. Those people died, but they will ressurect and go to heaven with Jesus.

No i think we should remember, otherwise our country will go soft and let the terrorist win. What i do wish, is that bush will stop the war for oil, and go and get the terrorist that caused this.

I think you are right . In the last 5 years many more americans have been murdered by their fellow citizens than died in theWTC but nobody has memorial days for them. Don't they matter?

you know what that is very heartless of you to even say something like that, especially today of all days. my father died in 2001 (not 9/11, but earlier in that year) and every time the anniversary of his death comes around i still get sad and cry, that is just me, one sad story for just me and my family, but for something this large, a national tragedy, something that thousands of people have mourned, and having our lived forever changed (in even the smallest ways, like airport security, or armed national guardsmen around more), for you to just say get over it, that is just completely inhumane...if you have no more hurt feelings or sorrow over this date, and what this date symbolizes then that is you, just don't expect other people (our nation) to get over it just as easily.
