I can understand it a lot more today, the 5 year anneversary of the event. It still gets a bit excessive, though.
I feel your point is better applied to the Jon Benet Ramsey case, the foiled attacks in the UK, & many others! These are stories which should be on the news & I want to know what is happening, but I don't want it 24/7!
It's sad because what they end up doing is turning someone who honestly cares & wants to know the latest into someone who is sick of hearing about it! I still care, passionately, but stop regurgitating the same old stuff & let me know what else is going on in the world! When something new happens, let me know, but until then, there is so much else going on than that one story (whichever the news is obsessing about at that particular time)

Well, i think that they should run it on the news. These people died, not just one, but thousands. It is a day that changed America. So i think that on the fifth anniversary, they should play the moment that changed this country forever. If your dad or mom or anyone in your family died, you would not get tired of hearing about 9-11. That is what is wrong with some of the people in this country, if it does not involve them, it is not important. So you should imagine that someone in your family was murdered on that day, and maybe, you will think different. If not, you are just an ungreatful, unamerican, citizen.

I think your attitude is selfish frankly. This day is about remembering our fallen brothers and sisters. I support your right not to watch or listen to anything 911 related, but you should also support the rights of the people who do want to hear it. There are alot of people struggling with their feelings today. There are people dealing with great loss in their lives. If you cannot turn a blind eye or a deaf ear for 24 hours so that they might find whatever solace or information they are craving, then you are the one with the problem. For me personally, I just will not watch or listen, I don't want to hear it. I have not forgotten the incredible horror of that day, and don't feel that I need to be reminded, but some do. Please do not take this as a personal attack as it is really not intended that way. I would just advise that you show a more sympathetic position for the feelings of others. We really are all in this together.

Yeah well, we shouldnt forget what happened on 9/11 but the media keeps on reminding the family of the victims, how they died and how they couldnt get out of the building etc. That sucks, i havent lost anyone from 9/11 and i can imagine the pain the people are going through, but does the media has to show this all like 10 times a day? 9/11 is the worst date for me that can ever exist, it keeps reminding me all these things, we should forget it, but the media is running out of headlines, everyone is running out of headlines, when you ask what date is it today, people are like, you dont know? It is 9/11 wow what a great thing to say.. Thanks for reminding us.

People died --that's a bad thing. The stories of how they died are important only to their families.
What we really need to remember is about 3000 people from a variety of nations, races, and religions all died that day because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They had attacked no one. They had harmed no one. The ones that killed them had no grudge against them. So why are they dead? Sick people killed them. And there are more sick people out there.

How can you say you were not "effected" (sic) by it? We are all affected by it.
Because of 9/11, we can't even carry hair gels, or lipsticks on a plane.
Because of 9/11, our phones are being tapped.
Because of 9/11 anybody can get arrested for suspicion of terrorism, and the police don't even have to say "sorry" if they made a wrong arrest..
Because of 9/11 ignorant people carry hatred towards Muslims.
Because of 9/11, gases are high, over 2,000 military people have died, and because of 9/11 travelling will NEVER BE THE SAME again.
If you're "sick and tired" of it, turn off the T.V. and look for your weather conditions online

whether you are tired of it or not, it will continued to be there for the rest of your life. Just like the devastation of Katrina. Its reality if we forget, it is just easier for the same horrible affect to happen again and again and there is no way to let it go as far as I am concerned, I wasn't related to anyone by blood, I didn't have any friends or anyone I knew be on the planes, in the buildings, or at the pentagon. But you know what over 95% of the people were Americans and that stands for something. Get your pity party of being tired of it over with and be supportive of the people grieving.

Oh I see the place you going with this. according to hazard your form in no way quite evaluate the fact that majority of folk do no longer make some thing out of no longer something only to stir the crap. because of the fact in the event that they did and there replaced into no substance, they may well be ridiculed and in the present day forgotten approximately. If there replaced into no reason to question this, there may well be no questions first of all, and no person might convey this up. No smoke devoid of hearth. in case you're so 'enlightened' according to hazard you have the respond? and according to hazard you will possibly choose for to enlighten human beings obtainable by way of answering this - Why did no longer the 9/11 fee ask for eyewitness testimony from people who observed, felt and experienced secondary explosions in the basement of the WTC towers? the records got here from a tremendous majority of first responders alongside with police and hearth branch workers. factor is, all human beings forgets that in spite of guy or woman evaluations on who replaced into in charge for the activities on that dreadful day, we ask questions because of the fact we could desire to be responsive to why hundreds of folk lost their lives that day. some blame the authorities, some blame the terrorists, some only choose for his or her questions replied so they are able to finding ultimately have CLOSURE they seek for!

I'm guessing that you are fairly young (say, less than 20 or so). First, from your spelling .. and second for your demonstrated lack of empathy or understanding of world events.
9/11 changed the world in every possible way ... there is much to be learned from it. There is no way to keep from repeating world events unless they are known.
And, unless your generation takes heed of this event, it will be repeated until we are numb ... and live in a world where terror can reign.
So, put your "me" feelings aside, learn what EMPATHY (not sympathy) is, and take this anniversary for what it is. A marker appreciating those who lost their lives and families on such a tragic day.

I agree. I have great sympathy for the victims and their families. And a deep hatrid for the perpetrators. However people have to move on from it. Such as November the eleventh. Pay our respects, don't forget it. But don't dwell on it.
