I know that I'm numb, and I'm glad. Yes. We should all move on with our lives & honor the fallen every day, but we should also take time to mourn as we would for any tragic event that touches our lives. If we don't do both of these things, then we run the terrible risk of becoming so calloused and unfeeling, that nothing really matters. That's when, and why, history is bound to repeat itself.
I will celebrate the lives of our heroes & I will mourn their deaths. I will live my life in honor of their sacrifices, and the least I can do is hold vigil over their graves on this anniversary & the ones to follow.

I def feeling numb, its a great way to describe it. But like you i still listen and look at all the stories. It was an extremely emotional and hectic day. My father is a NYC firefighter so it all still seems so real to me. For me, i don't know if i can ever get past the numb part when i hear about it. I've cried on and off all day today.

I myself believe we should move on. The longer it is dwelled upon the more harm it causes all of us. Every time a person replays negative or tragic events over & over in their mind or in images such as Tv etc, it causes mental anxiety, depression, etc and it may also be desensitizing many citizens. It serves NO beneficial purpose for anyone. The families & America experienced a sitautional crisis that no-one should ever go through. It is over and done. We need to move on.

I also feel numb. I cry but not as much. I honestly just stare at those twin towers crumbling down, I can't watch those tapes anymore. The memorials are beautiful, for everyone needs to grieve, but not to see these horrible pictures.
I agree.......bless all of their souls

Yep, It is sad that America Media is giving the Terrorists exactly what they want by replaying it over and over again every 365 days. I turn my TV off on Sept. 11th every year now in memory of those murdered and the Heroes that fought back and won.

A little I guess, I still can't believe what happened. So many innocent people lost their lives. And their families lost them. I just keep thinking about how the ones they left behind must be feeling every day, but especially today.
