URL = Universal Resource Locator

Use Google to sort out the avatar issue.

Unified Resource Locator.

It's the "name" behind the numerical address of a computer. It makes naming computers much easier, and it greatly eases surfing the net!

For example, instead of knowing "209.73.187.220", all you need to type is "answers.yahoo.com"! Much easier, no??
