I think if you didn't cry five years ago, you don't have feelings... It was a very sad day and a day no one will forget. My prayers go out to all who lost a family member. It takes a little darkness for us to see the stars, and a whole lifetime to reach them. Don't give up..

I cried...strange at it seems..not as much for those people who lost thier lives in such a horrible way...tho' I remember it and I DID cry then. But what I cry for now is how this ONE act of terrorism has given out current gov't a "carte blanche" to take away so many of the innate liberties we hold dear, the principles of Democracy, the spirit and the LAW and of the U.S. Constitution...all in the name of "protecting us"..which, IMO, it HAS NOT REALLY DONE", nor has it meant to do!.
I cried for the death of a TREASURED, UNIQUE system of government - OURS- for which countless people have given their lives to ensure....which the current administration is now dismantling recklessly, as casually as a boy pulling the wings off of a flly!
I weep and rage for the sins done by the Bush/Cheney/Rove adminisration, which uses the tragic deaths of the 9/11 victims to try to justify eroding the Constitution and to pry into our private lives, with the pathetic excuse of "making us "safer". I rage because I see these liars winming the "spin" war of propaganda in the eyes of so many uninformed Americans who BELIEVE slanderous, distorted news sources like Fox!
I cry for the country my son, now a teenager, will probably choose to live in and abide by the McCarthian laws or to leave! I cry and more importantly, my fellow Democrats and I ...we RAGE!!! We rage and will continue to fight this GOOD FIGHT, no matter what, until ALL the tyrants, the oil companies, the Saudis and their Bush friends, and the PAC's...have been exposed and brought to JUSTICE!
The Democrats are finally being seen as a logical, moral alternative to the lies of the Bush admiinstrations and its outrageous failures, but they MUST give the American people hope...hope beyond spin, beyond lies...beyond the empty promises so many of the Republicans have made to them.
They...the American people, must now serve as stewards of this great country. They must preside in the stead of what sould have been an authentic president, but was subsituted with a willing puppet of the oil and defense industries..
The American voters will be called on as they never have before. They must be watchful above all else. They must KNOW that the people who would rule them are designed by birth and by conditioning to undo them.
If the Democrats can succeed in knowing their foes, if they can name them AND know their weaknesses...if they are NOT afraid to expose these things to the American puclic, who seek the truth beyond all else, then they will triumph.
I dare not speak of the alternative...for it is too horrible.

This is a sad day.
Thanks for asking, and God bless America.
Best thing to do is offer our prayers up for the deceased, and fallen, and their dear families.

I did as did my entire family. I still remember exactly what I was doing when it came across the television. That is something that you will never forget.
