Just hook your computer up to your tv and have it act as your monitor. Besides XBOX live of course, you cen play online games from your computer on your tv that way. Just takes some knowledge of wires.

Xbox and ps2 of course go through the tv and can be played online.
A pc can be made to run through a tv although they are not made for this, unless you have a hd tv and a hd supporting graphics card (very expensive).
You can use a normal tv but the picture will be very blury and low quality and pretty unsuitable for most online games which require precision movement, clarity and aiming.

No you play them on your computer. Here are a couple of my favorites. There 60 minute trials on each game. On Arcade Town it will usually let you play until you shut it off. Have Fun !!!!!
