I opened my laptop yesterday and i found out that it wasnt charging anymore the Ac adapter was plugged and all that but i dont have any idea why its not charging. HELP!

To find out if your ac adapter is bad, try using your laptop w/o the battery. Your laptop should be able to turn on and stay on when its plugged in without the battery being inside of it. If it stays on, that means the ac adapter is good. To see if your battery is good, find out how long its suppose to last, fully charge it & leave your laptop on with the lid open and see how long the battery last w/o doing anything on the laptop and take note of how long it last. How ever long it last, compared to how long the battery is suppose to last, will tell you if its good or not.

You can tell if it is the adapter because the laptop will run, plugged in without the battery if the adapter is OK.
Batteries get old and won't hold the charge, so don't be surprised if that is the case. I have also seen them where you just need to clean the contacts off a little and they will work again. It happens to my cell phone about every six months.

Try a different charger if you have one OR check the batter life on the battery life tester on the side (if there is one). How long have you had it and how often do you use it....if a lot thn consider a new battery.
