Ferret Like Animals

MOST weasels can be quite aggressive (including ferrets if improperly trained.) Nothing against ferrets, I'm owned by one!

Mink, pine martin, fisher, mongoose or weasel would be the closest I know of. Otter are close, and similar in behavior, but are significantly larger (some getting upto 4-6 feet long in North America). Hope this helps!

Could also be wolverine - they're MEAN.

You are dealing with a baby and everything goes into their mouths. You will have to train the pup that biting ins not accpetable behavior and that you will not tolerate it. The next nip frimly but gently grab his muzzle and hold closed for a second or two and tell him NO BITE repeate this as often as necessary. The majority of your vocabulary will be no bite for awhile. It takes time for the pup to learn that biting is not acceptable. In a pack they bite the muzzle of the older dogs to get food and as a from of greeting. You need to let this guy know that will notwork here and it will not be tolerated. WIth work and some growing up time it will get better and the more you train the dog the less of a problem it will be. Good luck

Weasel? Otter? Mongoose?

The animal your asking about is called a Fisher. The male fisher weighs 8 to 16 pounds and measure approximately 3 feet from head to tailtip. Adult females weigh 4 to 6 pounds and measure approximately 2 1/2 feet in length. The fisher exhibits the typical "weasel" shape with a long, slender body, short legs, and furred tail. They have a pointed face with large, rounded ears set close to the head. They are well adapted for climbing and have sharp, retractable claws similar to those of domestic cats. Their coloration is generally a rich brown to black with grizzled grayish coloring on the head and shoulders and the darkest coloring occurring on the rump, tail, and legs. Individuals may also have irregular white patches of fur on their chest and lower abdomen.

I vote for Fisher (aka "fisher cat"). Member of the weasel family and very mean. They're a little larger than a ferret & will kill domestic cats.
