I have a vinyl soffit running the lenght of my roof, My question is can I remove the soffit from the attic?

Essentailly I need to cut a hole (3 ") to put a vent in for the bathroom vent fan. I don't have a ladder to get up that high. Is is possible to remove the soffit from inside the attic. It is the new type of soffit that is vinyl and has hundrends of holes running the entire length of it.....

No, it's nailed on the bottom to the fascia board, and sits in the groove of the F channel. Get a taller ladder.

no,the soffit is outside of your house,,you can't even see it ,when in the attic
