I'll be visiting in a few weeks and I'm researching how to get about in the city. I plan on using the tour bus that allows you to hop on and off at destinations. is there a subway pass or train pass that I should also get?

I'll be staying in Las Ramblas for 3 nights.

The fastest means of transport to get around the city is TMB and FGC. There are five lines. The price for all journies are €1.15. A ticket but if you buy 10 journies (T-10) costs €6.30.

Buses in barcelona are slower than the metro, but has the advantage of being able to offer views of the city while you travel. There are more than 70 lines throught the city. One journey costs €1.10.
Every day from 5 a.m. to 22:30 p.m.
Every night from 22:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The city also offers a very efficient taxi service. just look out for one.

hope that helps.

get the 2 day tour bus pass there is too much to see on the 1 day. When you go on ramblas walk down it and there is the ticket office on the harbour front. Go and see Nu Camp, and cathedrals, gothic square off ramblas on the left as u walk down, unreal. There is boat trips too. from by the ticket office. Im not sure on subways, but i think u can get on train to lloret, there is that much to see, you wont have enough time in 3 nights.
