WOW, I have never seen such random answers. And to say Dale Earnhardt Sr. is one of the most overrated drivers is appaling. How does a 7-Time Champion qualify as overrated?

Michael Waltrip isn't as overrated as people think. He did decently well with DEI, and with that chance his entire career, it would have been interesting to see what he would have done.

Real overrated drivers are as follows:

5) Jimmie Johnson - It's a proven fact that over the last few years, Hendrick and Rousch cars have been dominant, and a lot of that has had to do with the engines. I don't see JJ doing much if he isn't in a Hendrick car, as he hasn't shown me anything that proves he has the pure driving skills others who are in the same points standing area as he has.

4) Jamie McMurray - One win, and the world thinks he is the next big racing thing. It's funny how in the 4 seasons since, he hasn't found Victory Lane, and his getting out of his contract early with Ganassi does nothing tho help his cause.

3) Greg Biffle - As Drowning Pool's Dave Williams (R.I.P.) said in the song "Sermon", "Don't want to be up or down." Biffle just isn't consistent from year to year. He needs to be more consistent from season to season, and then he could be a great driver.

2) Kurt Busch - He is not going to be the next Rusty Wallace, and his younger brother is better than he is. His attitude is the culprit, as he seems to feel he is above NASCAR and the rest of the world just because he won a Cup Championship in 2004. His stats are deceptive because of his 15 wins, he has won at Bristol something like 4 times.

1) Scott Riggs - I can't understand how his good finishes flew under the radar. He may have the talent but doesn't utilize it.

1. Casey Atwood .... by far a big disappointment

2. Michael Waltrip .... Better known for his commercials, hair, and TV show. If he could win a non-plates race he would be taken off this list.

3. Dale Earnhardt, Jr .... Until he wins a championship, he's on the list.

4. Jamie McMurray .... Didn't run well with Ganassi, blamed the operation. Isn't running well with Roush...blame the driver?

5. Darth Vader .... Just cause the dark side is over-rated and so was his ranting.

I don't like to be mean but some of the overrated drivers are:
1. Greg Biffle--he's not really great at all, I mean look at his racing record.
2. Jeff Gordon--I've watched him race since he was on the dirt tracks by my house and he's just a pansy.
3. Busch 1--he can't accomplish anything on the track because his excuses get in the way.
4. Busch 2--guilt by association although he could blow the doors off his big brother's car.
5. Danica Patrick--Who flippin cares if she crosses over to the NASCAR circuit, she hasn't won a single race in the circuit that she's currently in.

Jr. is definately overrated.

michael waltrip for sure, kyle petty, too. i think jeff gordon is over rated, yes, he has won 4 championships, but 3 of them were with rey evernham, quite possibly the greatest crew cheif of all time, and since his personal engine builder at hendrick motorpsorts died in that plane crash, he has been average at best. i cant really think of anyone else, becuase i have only been watching for about 4 years now
