I know there's a "browse" option, but I don't want everyone who knows me to search my profile in MySpace. So is there a way for it NOT to appear when they search? I already have it set to private, but I understand that only works in a "they can't ADD me" way.

Setting your site to private means that they can not see your profile (just that you have one). They can ask to add you, but you can always deny them. If you don't want people to be able to search for you, take off all of your affliations (schools, college, etc) and then change your name on your profile, and remove your location from your profile. That should make it pretty tough for someone to find you. You might want to consider taking your picture off too.

if you go in your settings and take your last name off they cant search by your name... they will have a long list of other people with the same name to go through! also make a new email address and change the one u use on myspace that way noone can search your email address either .. cause you cant search something you dont know! lol

yes you can make, that no one can find you when they search for you, go to edit profile, then go to name and put out your first and last name but leave your profile name. Then go to save changes. That's it!

Well, with the private setting they can't view your profile either...so i don't really see the problem.

Get facebook, you can control whether or not people can see your profile.
