I have a few books about fairies and it almost seems like the writer really does believe that fairies exist. Could it be possible that people really do believe in fairies?

Preception of reality, and whom is to say what reality is? Do fairies exist? I believe yes, why because I do. Do I believe that water exist yes why because I see it. Do I belive love exist? Yes I do why Because it feel it. So also we also believe somethings exist that others do not. How about the Mothman prophrecies? Is this a banshee? Try looking up things on the sidhee. or the tuatha de danna.
Best of luck

I always speculate about the possible insecurities of those who so adamantly KNOW what is 'real' and what is . . . mental illness. :) I mean, some time in the not-too-distant past, the majority of people (in Europe, at least,) believed in the 'reality' of a flat earth, the 'reality' that the sun circled the earth . . . Learned men of their day believed in the 'reality' of hollow human cells. And some today declare the 'reality' that fairies (and others of like ilk) do NOT exist.
Hmmmmmmm . . .

The movie was about the "Cottingley Fairies" Two girls convinced everyone they had seen and photographed fairies, they even fooled Sir Arthur Conan Doyle , the creator of Sherlock Holmes. It was not until many years later they admitted they had faked the photographs.

I see them in my mind. And I don't know anyone who has not at least thought about them. I believe they have a special mission to help balance the good with the bad. As for the idea that they really do exist, I think it's up to the individual. We can believe anything, anytime, anywhere.

I don't think anyone knows except for people who have supposedly seen them. It would be nice for them to exsist. For instance, the brownie fairy comes and basically helps around the house and wont leave until you offer them clothes. they hate that. but then it might not be too nice for them to exsist. say... the banshee comes to you when some is going to die. She is supposedly not too pretty. Personally... I wish they did exsist.
