My smitten kitten … me thinks that only about 2% of the people here know what a quark is … let alone the top quark theory.

That depends on if you mean the sub-atomic particle quark or the clog-shoes Quark.

If it's the sub-atomic smaller-than-an-electron's piss-ant quark, my number one suspect would be Stephen Hawking. He's been collecting the damned things since 1981, and he seems to be the obsessive type that might steal someones quarks right out of their lunch pail.

On the other hand, if it's the clog-type shoes Quark, I'd put Mr. Hawking very low on the list. He tends to not wear his shoe leathers out all that quickly, and I just cannot picture him Line Dancing very frequently, although I may be wrong. I did not think that Ben Affleck would even get to see someone elses Oscar, either, let alone win one for himself.

Still, if it's your shoes that are missing from your lunch, I'd suspect Imelda Marcos' ghost, or, more likely, Nathan Lane.

Are we talking about the particle matter quarks?? Or are we talking about the cheese!?

I could be wrong, (not bleedin' likely!!) But I just saw a little bald headed squirrel monkey run off with the cheese to enjoy along side his unicorn on a cob.

As for the microscopic particle matter... I will just hold onto those until my plans of World Domi.... AHEM.... Until the the moon turns a unique shade of hoppleberry and I have been dipped in chocolate and tossed to the lesbians.
