Should it be one of the national team coaches as he knows the players best? Or would that make for bias selection?
Someone completely different? Would the players be able to cope with yet another manager telling them to play differently?

Dont forget all the players will be english well apart from a couple i expect,but martin o neil would be the man

We can do like the team who will win the FA plays against the teams who won the Scottish cup (or whatever they call it) and so on, the winning team, together with their manager, will represent UK in the olympics.

The whole idea of a unified team is a non starter. The Scottish FA have already said so.
