Meconium is the waste that has accumulated in the baby while in utero. Therefore there's meconium until all that waste has been excreted; usually within the first one to three bowel movements. There wasn't, in my experience, any one kind of movement that was "normal" Colour, texture vary and depend on what the infant is being fed, and what the Mom if nursing is eating. Eg. If a Mom who is breastfeeding eats alot of green beans in a short period of time, some movements might look very green.

It's the first few bowel movements. Depending on how many times a day they go. Could take a few days.

Meconium lasts about 2-3 days. after that ur baby will begin to have normal bowel movements. if ur breast feeding then the stools will look like seedy mustard, and really soft. if ur formula feeding then the stools will be less soft and not seedy. it'll also be darker in color, but not dark like meconium.

Meconium is in reference to the fetal bowel movement passed by the baby before birth that can add bacteria into the fluids of birth and cause infections and aspiration into the baby's lungs at birth. I'm sure the same dark BM is there after birth for a day or so, but I've only heard of it in reference to the pre-birthing BM's of the babe.

It will last a few days. Breastfed baby poop should be like yellow, seedy mustard by the end of the first week.

If your baby still has dark, sticky meconium poops, you can put a little oil on his bottom so it won't stick so badly and diaper changes will be easier.

It lasts as long as it takes to be removed from the body, which depending on the baby could be 1 day or a several days. Mine was like 3.

Meconium is the baby's first feces, or poop, which is sticky, thick, and dark green and is typically passed in the womb during early pregnancy and again in the first few days after birth.

Meconium is first--it can last a couple days. After that, it's mustard colored with cottage cheese-like chunks.

I think you can have meconium for the first few stools. After that if your baby is breastfed the stools are like oatmeal consistency and it looks like there are seeds in it.
If you are worries please call your pediatrician.
