Mine is Thanksgiving you get to eat a lot of food and it's the only time I really get to see family.

Thankgiving.
First, its a 4 day weekend. Second, its just about getting together, food, fellowship, games, and football. No presents, nocards, nothing. Just plain jane...fun; to me.

Independence Day is my favorite.
My family gets together for the whole day. All the food you can eat - every kind of picnic food, watermelon, salads - spit roasted bbq, home made ice cream in the evening.
Then FIREWORKS!
I love the fireworks - the little kids will walk out and light something then the dads scoop them up and run back to safety. All the women ooo and ahh over the displays.
It's so relaxing and fun.
It's great to be with my whole family and their is no pressure about gifts or any of the 'traditional' pressures.

Mine is Christmas I love the bright lights and the holiday decorations - the baking, the parties with friends and most of the all - the time spent with my family.

i love both thanksgiving and christmas. i love that time of year. i love holiday movies and tv shows and all the cooking and baking. all the smells and smiles that go along with those holidays. i also love listening to christmas music and trying to find the perfect gifts for people.

Well mine is Halloween it's just great to see all the people dressed up and you can be whatever you want that day and nobody to really judge you if you dress silly it's okay and the kids all look great and are having fun which is what being a kid is all about

The 4th of July! Cook outs, parades, fireworks, day off from work, sleep in, summer time! It's our nation's birthday and I celebrate all day long with my family and friends.

Christmas, for reasons similar to yours. I live quite far away from my family and it is in Christmas when we all get together and spend time with each other :-)
