We must forgive for we can't begin to heal if we don't forgive. We can never forget for if we forget the lost lives if that tragedy mean nothing. We learn everyday and what we learned from 9/11 was that the world has changed and there is a new war, the war with terror. It is so hard to fight a war where the solders look just like us and are willing to go into combat with the knowledge that death will come upon them and will not return. We must be vigilant and observant despite the changing face of the human race. Some of us have become brainwashed and are following the ideology of a few sick minded individuals. Through perseverance and dedication we need to try and help reverse this widening trend for if we don't it will destroy all of mankind.

Sure I can forgive, but I don't see them asking for forgiveness. Terrorists are not looking for our forgiveness, they are looking for our conversion or destruction. Neither of these 2 alternatives is acceptable. My opinion is the only good terrorist is a dead one. However, I am reasonable person. If they want forgiveness the path is simple. Lay down your arms and stop killing innocents. When that happens we have something worth forgiving, until that day though we must remain vigilant. Those who would terror as a weapon have to understand that the world is no longer a big enough place to hide. It may take us awhile, but we will hunt them down like the dogs that they are.

As in, "Oh, it's okay that you FLEW A F***ING PLANE INTO A BUILDING?"
On some level, you can forgive people for their beliefs. Yes, it's okay to believe that your way is right. You can believe whatever you want, as long as you don't hurt other people.
But when you hurt people...
Average citizens who were just doing their 9-5 jumped out of a slowly collapsing building, from such a height that they knew there was no hope of survival, just because they knew it was better than the alternative of burning to death.
I will never be able to forgive the terrorists for their actions. I don't think we should. To forgive is divine, yada yada. But we're human. And those people were human. Let their God worry about forving them, unless you want to see it happen again.

We don't need to forgive. We did not start this. We will be fighting this war until every last one of those a-holes are dead. I refuse to bow down to them and we as members of the human race need to face reality and deal with the problem. If not for us, we need to do it for our children. I am still mad at what happened on 9-11-01 and I will never, never, never forgive them. I hope they all rot in hell.

Forgive? No.
But we can move on.
Those of us that live in Britain have been living with terrorism for over 30 years now and pride ourselves on not letting those responsible get the reaction they want.
You will never be able to forgive, but if you don't let it go then you are doing exactly what they want.

that depends on the individual you ask i suppose, me personally, no. it is not about forgiveness at this point, it is about surviving people in the world who are beyond remoarse, rationale or reason, beyond a diplomatic means to solve anything, it's the reality. i am a very forgiving person by nature, in time, and understand good people do bad things, but i feel strongly this goes beyond forgiveness, not that they would ever ask us for it...but forgiveness is sometimes more about us making peace within ourselves. regarding 9/11, me, i don't need that peace in this matter, not with this, i likely would not forgive ted bundy for killing my loved one either...i would want him exterminated or incarcerated for life to protect other potential victims. some people are beyond forgiveness and rehabilitation.

Sorry, but the answer to that must be an emphatic "NO!!!" The people who were responsible for the attacks are not looking for our forgiveness (or God's, for that matter) and hate us for no other reason than the fact that we are Americans. The only way to deal with people like that is to eliminate every last one of them -- yes, it sounds heartless and cruel, but if they had their way every American would be eliminated. This has nothing to do with oil or U.S. support for Israel or any trivial political/religious issue. It is a fight for survival, plain and simple.

how do you forgive someone who is still intent on causing death and misery on so many innocent people... i believe people want to move on and lay to rest the hurt, hate, anger and pain that they feel but it is not that easy to forgive, for to do that you must have hope that this will never happen again, but this is something that if we are honest none of us have... and to bigboy or wot ever ur called you are a wan@er...
