when I was at 4 1/2 weeks my Drdid an ultrasound in his office. He said that the gestational size was too small and that either my dates were wrong or this pregnancy would not take.... I KNEW my dates were right because I was charting ....he scared me so bad. I went home and cried for 2 days and expected to lose this baby.... I went to an ultrasound at the hospital 2 days later and everything was perfect.... I also saw a genetic counselor due to my age (38) and he confirmed everything was fine... I am now at 20 weeks and going strong. Mistakes can be made. 2 weeks is not that off. Women have different cycles every month. It's NEVER the exact same....unless you were charting I wouldn't worry......

With both of mine, the ultrasound showed a different size from what the doctor thought. My experience, don't worry about what the tech says - the doctor knows what he's looking at. If I had listened to what the tech said, I would have been off by 2 months with a due date lol.

Even modern medicine is not infallible. It is unusual to get 2 different measurements. But not unheard of. I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you and your baby are both healthy, that is all that really matters. And if it really bothers you ask for a second ultrasound. Good luck. And congrats on your bundle of joy.

Thats crazy, i haven't had that happen at the same ultrasound but i had it happen at two different ones. i went to one and they said my daughter was almost 9 lbs, then at the next one they said shes almost 6 lbs. different techs measure different and some move more quickly than others too. its not necessarily the technology, its the ultrasound tech themselves.

I found that different tech measure different...I had 2 u/s at 2 different hospitals...I had a detailed u/s, and was exactly where I was supposed to be.

Neither are exactly accurate. I would go for the in between date, but honestly you could go at any point.
