The Mets having the best record in mlb lost against 2 first time Dodgers starters Hong - Chih Kuo & Eric Stults. Who? Exactly!! 2 roookies took the mound against the team with the best record & the Mets only scored 1 run, yes that was 1 (one) run. Being a Dodgers fan of course I enjoyed the series & im quite sure the Mets fans thought they would win the serires against the Blue Crew. Surprise, Surprise!!!

I don't know why, but it seems lately that the Mets either trample the opposing team's starter, or they get shutout for 7 innings. It's really frusturating that the bats sometimes don't show up in a particular day. Our starting pitiching is either hot or cold as well. (as I'm tying this article, Williams just gave up his 8th earned run in the Marlins game). I think that Willie Randolph will have them ready to go by October, but some of these hitting and pitching performances really worry me.
It's not every day that the Mets just waltz into the playoffs, so I'm pretty nervous...

I was so happy they took 2 games from the Mets. It really should have been 3 but, what can you do right. Dodgers are still leading the west and that's all that matters! I love this years rookies, they've been doing soooo much for the team. Go Dodgers!!!!
