yes! mine were awful too.

tips:

1- move slowly, especially when standing up from a sitting position. you can ease yourself to the edge of your seat and slowly lean back to straighten your body BEFORE you try to stand up, and that can stop them cramping.

2- if you forget, and move too quickly, and get the pain started, it helps if you crouch down or hunch over, so that all tension is removed from the ligaments. for me, it made the cramping go away almost immediately, and then i could stand up normally after that.

it's different for every woman, but for my two pregnancies, my round ligament pain only lasted from about 3 months to about 5 or 6 months.... so maybe yours will go away soon, too!

good luck to you!

I personally didn't have too many problems with my pregnancy carrying my son. But I did have problems with him putting pressure on my sciatic nerve. That was worse than the ligament pain.

After the first time I got the pain, I made it a point to move very slowly if I was still for more than 30 minutes at a time. At home, I avoided it by moving around the first floor of the house in a wheel chair. My family got a kick out of it, but the seat was comfortable and didn't put pressure on my joints. And wheeling myself around was a great way to exercise and get my arms strong. My son was born 9 lbs 10oz, so it came in handy.

Yeah I started experiencing it around 16 weeks. I read a pregnancy book that goes week-by-week and read about Round Ligament pain and it sounded exactly like what I had. At first I freaked b/c this is my first pregnancy and I had no clue what the pain was. I'm 20 weeks now and it has got considerably more bearable. Hang in there, they say it's normal.

I had round ligament pains when I was pregnant. It is very painful. Taking Tylenol sometimes will make it go away. I took Tylenol and rested. It usually went away

Yes it's terrible and will only get much worse, if you can imagine that throughout your pregnancy.
