With each report that is released involving Sony, there is never any good news now days. I myself am a Playstation Fan, but come recently I've puchased a Xbox 360, because over all it's a better alternative than the pricy PS3 ( $600 +tax, WOW!!) That's not to mention the price of the games(may cap up to $80!!!), the controllers (which no longer have vibration), the vulnerability of the Blu Ray to damage, as well as the speculated long load times!!!! Also to mention the additional cost of having to purchase a HDMI cable to play in Hi Def, man Sony is really crapping on it's own face, and recent news of only a fraction of systems being distributed to the US, 400, 000 units, that not even enough for one county. That's not to say that Microsoft and Nintendo are little saints either. To sum it up, it's not worth buying a HD DVD drive for the 360, and to have the Wii targeted to games of yester decade. In the long run, EVERY company is out to make the most profit, but what about the comsumer

I perfer the Nintendo Wii. I've always been a Nintendo fan, but I don't hate on Microsoft or Sony. Its just that I'm not really that interested in their games. Yeah it totally sucks how PS3 is getting a huge blow to the stomach because of the price but
I'm pretty sure they will eventually gain momentum within 1-2
years. I don''t care if they call Nintendo's games kiddy or if their graphics are a suped up X-box. Honestly half of wii's lineup right now are teen and up, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl's graphics are a huge upgrade from melee! I just love Nintendo's games and they have always been innovative with their products. I can't wait to try out the wiimote! (:

I am also a hardcore Sony fan and i was also concerned about the shortages and the price of the PS3 as well, but the number of PS3 being released in the USA (400,000) is just the first shipment. Sony has stated that it still expects to have 4 million units on the market by the end of march 2007, it's not as many as the 6 million it had promised at e-3 but the same shortages happened with the 360 as well. I myself have my p.c and my PS2 for now so i am in no rush to buy the 360 because it is a piece of crap and is just as costly as the PS3. You have to buy the hd DVD drive and the wireless network card, also the x-box live will cost you another 50.00 bucks, so by the time you add up the extras you have spent just as much money. The PS3 has the blue-ray and that alone cost 1000.00 bucks by itself,so you are getting your moneys worth right there. I don't know where you heard about the blue -ray being easy to damage but the 360 is made in America so the craftsmanship is crap and is sure to break, the PS3 is made in Japan where the best in electronics come from, and the 360 has already had many issues with overheating and games freezing up as well. I am willing to wait for the PS3, i think that it will be the best of the 3 systems and for the price it is well worth it because you get what you pay for.

Well i originally liked the PS3 with its sweet graphics and other coll stuff but once i heard it was going to be 500 and 600 dollars (neither of which i can afford) i started looking at the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. The Xbox 360 which has great graphics and superior online capabilities which is very good but i found that it lack games that were truly fun but now Microsoft is making a change from their last console the Xbox which was crowded with cheap Halo knockoffs which were very annoying, and a lot of bloody and gory games that weren't doing anything to the industry but hurting it, and with this new console their is much more diversity with a handful of good games that appeal to all ages. and the Wii which might not have the best graphics but looks like it will have the funnest games and a innovative controller which looks fun to use.so i might end up buying a Xbox 360 and a Wii after that .

Well for me I bought a 360 and its pretty good, but not worth 400 bucks. The PS3 seems to be a very good system also, but for that kind of money I would wait a long time till the prices creep down. The wii is the cheapest so far i think at 250 dollars so I would probaly get that one also. But it also comes down to the games released for each system. Which system has the best games you like? The 360 and PS3 are neck n neck with the hardware and feautures I think. So its up to the price for one and the selection of games that will be avaliable.

I have a PS2 and I like it a lot. I tend to follow the game series I like rather than the tiny differences in performance between systems. Personally, as long as Sony keeps the reverse compatability in the PS3, I will probably buy a PS3 when the price comes down in a year or 2. As for the other systems, the only game series I really miss from Nintendo are Starfox, Legend of Zelda, and a small few individual games. As for the Xbox 360, I'm only disappointed that I will not be able to play Mass Effect when it comes out, though I hope it comes out for PC. Between my PC and my PS2 I have access to the majority of the games I am interested in.

Xbox 360, i have no need for Blue-ray or HD-DVDs, but at least the 360 gives u an option if u do want one(The low end PS3 rips people off with Blue Ray and HD! there is no HDMI port so there is no point to blue ray if u can't use HD.), and I like the 360s games better in my opinion.

I, like yourself, am a Sony fan. And I will be getting a PlayStation 3 if quantity allows (I'll be in school the day of release, so I most likely wont have one this year). If I can't find one in stores before March 2007, I'll be buying a X Box 360, to hold me until I am able to find a PS3. I gave up on Nintendo after N64but I'm not knocking them, I'm just saying that I'm not interested in what they have to offer.

I prefer the Wii for the way the games are played. Should I have enough money, I could also get an Xbox 360 as well.
