I think so, he was really unlucky all the time!!!!! Alonso is making big mistake with McLaren and because of that Raikkonnen has more chances!!!!

If it's status quo at Ferrari (i.e. Ross Brawn and Rory Byrne stay), then Kimi Raikkonen could very well prevail.
I think Fernando Alonso is in for a a bit of a lean period at McLaren as the team doesn't have a `name' designer and I can't see McLaren going from no wins (there won't be any in the last three races) this year to a highly competitive team in 2007.
Kimi Raikkonen has made the 2006 car perform much better than a lesser driver would.

i'm a ferrari fan as well and i have no objections with kimi raikkonen in fact im really happy it was him mainly because he drives similarly like michael schumacher and as a ferrari fan it is somewhat important.
with regards to your concerns about raikkonen's past misfortunes let's just look at it this way... he simply has nothing to do with it, his car should take all the blame and none to him, i mean he's not like those drivers who are running a perfect race only to spun out of control. he belongs to an elite class of drivers like michael schumacher and fernando alonso who are widely considered as much more superior to everyone else. he is definitely ready, he's been ready for the longest time now. it will truly be an exciting f1 season next year with the mclarens expected to be vastly improved.

Unless ferrari drops the ball development wise during the off season (highly unlikely) I would expect Kimi to be the next champion. McClaren will have to make a vast improvement to their car for Alonso to win again.

i think that Raikkonnen will have a fair chance to be the next F1 champion. Alonso and Kimi will be the two main people on the podium but i would not be surprised to see the young polish driver Robert Kubica there too

Raikkonen and Alonso will be the main title contenders next year, and the chase might go down to the wire. Although the title chase might be made tougher by surprise competitors like Kovalainen, Kubica or Rosberg (if Williams gets rid of trouble).
