I used to love Monday Cleaning Day.
Now I am on this computer again!
I am the only one on my cul-de-sac without a cleaning person and used to be proud of that...

I did hire cleaners for the last 2 weeks.
Not proud of that...

LEWIS - this is addicting to a point but I do not neglect my family. I did go and clean the house...truth is - I can afford a house cleaner if I want one.
My HUSBAND was being funny when he wrote that question about being on Q & A because I didn't want to watch a football game with them. It wasn't the Packers so who cares!
My Dad had cancer and didn't CHOOSE a disease, so I am angry when they call drug addiction a "disease". It is a BAD LIFE CHOICE.
I have strong opinions on things but those who know me think I am a caring NICE person! I am sorry if I offend you with my posts and I wish you well! You seem like a NICE person TOO!

and read a book my sister is
INSISTING I read and
" 'get off that $#&*@ computer!' "

Wull, duh, here I am!.........
WHAT IS THIS!!???!!!????
Pure and simple - ADDICTION!

Wikipedia:

In all cases, the term addiction describes a chronic pattern of behavior that continues and is perceived to be hard or impossible to quit at any time. It is quite common for an addict to express the desire to stop the behavior, but find himself or herself unable to cease.

Addiction is often characterized by an ongoing effort to use more (drug or behavior), tolerance, and withdrawal symptoms in the absence of the stimulus.

I wasn't going to respond until I saw your statement that you were addicted.

No. Clean your house and attend to your family. Being on Y!A is a personal choice that will cause you physical problems and emotional anxieties based on not tending to your responsibilities and getting a little exercise cleaning your house.

Where is the benefit of being on Y!A? Especially if you are going offend cancer patients and addicts, and lump us together into the same category of parasites who diminish the USA. I do listen to conservative radio, and heard the show a before you posted the question, but I can recognize the propaganda techniques.

Your history indicates you have clues you are neglecting your family, and perhaps your husband suspects you have a problem that distances you from your family(question2)..

The benefit I get from here is to tune out the physical challenges I face, and remember the person I was when I worked in Washington during the Reagan term, and the many other positive activities I have engaged in.

Let he(or she) who is without sin cast the first stone.

Here is a little of your history. I remember the first because I remember everything, and you attacked me there, and then attempted to sugar coat your response. While looking for it ran across a couple of relevant questions.

1: Are you sick of having society call alcoholism and drug addiction a disease? Are you sick of our government paying disability social security to people who CHOOSE to drink and take drugs?
Where is the PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY?

2: Why am I so addicted to Yahoo Q&A that I even ignore my family?

3: Do you spend too much time on the internet?
What are you neglecting?

You are obviously not educated on addictions. Do you honestly think people would make the choice to stink a needle in their arm and cause their family heartache and loose everything they previously had. I think not...NO one would choose to DIE from using. No more than your dad would choose to die from cancer. That being said SO sorry to her about your dad. ALL DISEASES ARE TRAGIC AND UNFORTUNATE!

Secondly, if you want a house keeper and can afford it than go for it! I stay at home and personally clean in my downtime as well as yahoo answers but if you are not able to get it done then hire someone. Who cares what others think.

Well you have many options......If you have the money and don't wanna do the work yourself then why not? but if your not exactly wealthy or in college or something then clean and do errands or whatever then you can get on! Or you could mix it up like clean a little answer a little and so on.............hope I helped:)

Ever heard of multitasking?

But then again, if your entire day is consumed by the computer - you certainly need to find some other activies to fill your time!

poor little house wife, so many decisions, while your sitting there feeling guilty, why not take the money for the cleaning lady and donate it to a charity or better yet go do SOME Charity work yourself
