Steelegrave: No matter who dies, death is death. You can't get anyone back once they pass on, and the sooner you realize that the happier this planet will be.

What aftermath are you speaking of? Are we talking about every human being that has died after 9/11/01. Or is this some sort of veiled political message?

Because what I think you are implying is that the War in Iraq or the attack on the Taliban involve the death of innocent non-combatants. And that those who have died in Afganistan and Iraq are equally horrific deaths as to those who died in the WTC.

If that is your point, let me say that on September 11, 2001, al-Qaeda the spearhead for Islamic fundementalists worldwide committed an act of war against the United States of America by killing its citizens and destroying one of it's national monuments. Now the appropriate response to a declaration of war, is to throw the full-force of our military might at our adversary. What should have happened on 9/11 was the Islamic fanatics waking a sleep behemoth, but unfortunately the vast majority of people living in the U.S. are apathetic cowards. And politicians' only goal is to extend their term of office. So the monster was not unleashed and because we are held back from using our full capabilities a few of our brave soldiers have died and a mere handful of innocent Iraqis have died (at least by American hands many more thousands have died by the hands of their own people). Guess what we didn't start the war and unfortunately because of the apathy and cowardice of a segment of our population it will not end quickly and that means more people will die. And while I do mourn the death of every American soldier I also understand what is required when our way of life and the lives of our citizens are under attack from a fanatical and determined enemy.

If that is not what you are suggesting then forgive my ramble.

(Edited after being personally called out) I thought this was question and answer not some sort of debate. But apparently the planet Earth is unhappy because I don't believe all deaths are equal. You honestly believe that an innocent child dying is equal to a terrorist blowing himself up to kill others, then you're part of the problem.

Also thanks you two for the thumbs down that's a badge of honor.

I have always prayed for the souls that were lost on 9/11. I pray that they are resting in peace. I also pray for the survivors they also need our prayers.

well, we should mourn for them but we should remember that things happen and many people died on this day. We all have to die eventually, let's just hope they died peacefully!
