18 is young, but age isn't really a major factor for the decision of whether or not to marry.
You marry for love, not convenience. In fact, it doesn't matter how old you are, true love is hard work. It isn't easy to grow love to maturity.
If you're 18 and you feel you're responsible enough to always put your spouse's needs first, then you should definitely get married!

Yes. I fell it’s too young, but then again, it really depends on the two that are getting married. I know when I was 18, my choice of man at the time was different than my choice of man at 21 and again at 26. I ended up getting married at 30 and I’m really glad I waited, because looking back, I was the immature one. But if the two people are willing to go to pre marital counseling and really talk about expectations children, money, chores, all of that stuff you just assume will fall into place.
Good luck.

I graduated High School, turned 18 and got married all in the same month. My high school sweet heart, or so I thought. We were married 8 years and then we just grew apart. Never had time to experience life. I would not recommend getting married at 18. If its meant to be wait at least 5 years. Good Luck

I got married when I was 19 and have been married 11 years now. So even though it may be young, it's not impossible to stay married even if you are married at a young age.

18 can definitely be too young; it depends on the person. I was married at 23... and divorced at 27. So for me, 23 was too young because I throught that I was ready and that I needed to get married (and I ended up with the WRONG guy!) Now I'm 31 and married again... and couldn't be happier!

18 is not too young. My friend got married at 16 and she is still married to that guy and they are happy as ever. My mother got married at 19 and her and my father are still together going strong. They even still flirt with each other as if they were dating. Its gross but cute. And I am 18 and plan on being married pretty darn soon. So no, 18 is not too young.

I was married as soon as I turned 18. It lasted 28 years.
I don't think age has much to do with it; I know some 18 year olds who are better equipped for marriage than some 48 years olds.

I graduated in June at 17 turned 18 in July and got married in October! I was way to young!! I didn't even know who I was yet. Now I'm 49 and still missing the fun I could have had at 18. You change so much from 18 into your 20's. I never gave myself time to get to know who I was without someones influence. I went from my Dad's daughter to my husband's wife and was never just me! Then had kids in two years! If I could go back, I would most definatly wait til I was older!!

There are exceptions to every rule, but yes, I agree that getting married at such a young age is foolish. At 18, you don't even know who YOU are let alone how to share a life with someone and make it work for the long haul. And who you are at 18 is seldom who you are at 35, etc...

Depends on the couple really, some are very mature for their age and can handle the commitment required in marriage, while others aren't.
I think for the most part 18 is way too young.
