5 years have passed and more people are becoming ill and dying from this tragic event in our history and today they must struggle and sue in the courts to get fair treatment .It seems so simple to help these people but at every step they must fight another battle to get what they have earned .THIS goes for our veterans also who do not have adequate care provided .
America needs to do something about this .IT is not political but just and fair .
Lacking our ability to handle such obvious problems as these leads me to believe something is terribly wrong in america .

You are way too correct on this...it really is a question of doing the right thing. I find neither party is interested in "doing the right thing" unless there is political gain. Since this isn't an issue yet they will continue to ignore these finest of Americans.

I agree. Our veterans should have MUCH better health care available. This should not even be a matter for the courts. These people risked their lives for America and should be treated well. As far as people dying from 9/11 related issues, I do not know enough about that to comment on it. Have any links?

This has been occurring since the country formed.

The Native Americans were robbed of their land.
The Vietnam Veterans suffer from Agent Orange.
The 9-11 responders suffer from lung ailments.
Katrina Victims were barely rescued.

There is obviously a problem. However, until people get off their rears to VOTE, it will still be a problem.

Nearly 70 percent of 9/11 first responders have debilitating respiratory illnesses.

The reaction of the Bush Government is on a par with their reaction to New Orleans disaster. This government is at its best lying to the public and fighting illegal wars in distant countries for ill gotten gains.

What are you doing? I personally donated over $500, I believe we as Americans have donated quite a bit to the Fire depts etc. Remember the firemen holding there boots out? Remember how 90% of the "first" responders were killed hen the buildings collapsed? i think these ailments are endemic of the whole of Manhattan, and some are probably as fictitious the person who climbs on a bus after an accident and claims injuries. as well as the Katrina "victims" that have been suing who were never even from the South let alone New Orleans.

I completely agree with you!! What a shame, we spend money on wars we have no business being in. We waste money on political campaigns and an inept government. Yet our soldiers and medical personal cannot get the help they need and deserve. Call your local newspapers and TV news people and get the word out. The more that know the more that can help.

This is an issue which has just now come to national view. Things take time and I think that we will begin to take better care of them. They about all are true Americans.
