I just bought 2 press-board cabinets with doors for my garage. I know that they are not the best cabinets, but they are affordable. I just need some ideas to help them last longer. Any suggestions for reinforcing them?

Mount them to a wall if possible, an/or screw them together from the inside. Small wooden triangles in each corner could help, but you will have to pre-drill and glue them in.

Not really. The screws have a tendency to easily pull out of the particle board. I don't know of anyway to reinforce it. The particle board has a tendency to warp. Don't put anything heavy on the shelves. You can brace up the shelves. But I don't know anyway to do the doors.

You got what you paid for. I'm not being a wise guy, that's just the way it is. Whenever you buy something based on price alone, you run the risk of wasting time and money. Why do you think rich people insist on all wood construction? They can afford it and they know that they'll get their money's worth. Sorry.

Paint them inside & out. Make sure the edges end up with a nice thick coat/s of water/moisture proof paint. You'll end up protecting the edges from slowly being peeled/chipped. Keeping them very dry also makes a big difference in their longevity.
