Because ESPN couldn't get Pete Carroll's dick out of their mouth long enough to say much of anything about LSU.

Because they did not win anything in 2004. LSU got killed by my Georgia Bulldogs 45-13 in Athens. Later LSU lost to Auburn.

Auburn went 14-0 in 2004 and they were the SEC Champions. However, they did not make the BCS championship game. OU and USC played with for the BCS title.

LSU won the BCS title game that followed the 2003 season.

They were co-champions with USC. LSU won the BCS championship by beating Oklahoma in the BCS title game (Sugar Bowl) thereby automatically getting the championship of the ESPN (coaches) poll, but USC was voted #1 by the media poll (AP)

That bugs me too. They won the BCS, but everyone on TV and radio refers to USC as champions from that year. Freakin double standards.
