like unzip

A rar file is just a zip (compressed) file made by winrar rather than winzip. If you have winrar or winzip, just right click the file and choose unpack. If you dont have either programme, you wont be able to open it.

you know you open zip files with winzip or similar, well you open rar files with WinRAR. Type into search engine and you will find a trial version to download...

download winace from winace.com a lot more user friendly than winrar, once you have downloaded a file right click then extract here
