USA Why do so many of you believe your vote counts & this is how change is made?

Why are you not inteligent enough to recognize the whole political process has evolved into a World Corporate Fascist ruling class along with your Representative government "Congress" Who merely puts on a show tricking you in belief that you have some say? Do you honestly think this was the intention of our founders?

Just the fact that the three major voting machines are made by three corporations, each owned by active members of the Republican Party (and none of which have any way to double check or recount the votes), and the fact that two of them (the brothers that own Diebold and ESS) made public statements to Bush that they guaranteed him victory in '04, should be enough to show the world that our votes count for nothing.

Actually, the current system of government is exactly what the founders of the United States wanted. The constitution only gave people the right to vote for member of the House of Representatives. In fact it only gave white males over the age of 21 who owned land the right to vote. The Senators were chosen by the State Govenors, and the Electors for the Electorial College were also chosen by the Govenors. However, I agree with you that the system is flawed.

I have never believed my vote counts. I don't believe that my representatives have any interest in representing me. Despite all the "3rd party" candidates in elections, America is baiscally given a choice of Republican or Democrat. When both choices are bad for us, we still have to pick one so what's the point. I believe that if our founders could see what we have done to their country, they would appalled.
