I would like to think that the barb would have kept the hole plugged up. At least that is what they tell you on medical shows involving knives. I would like to think it would have given him at least a chance. But you also add poison into the mix.

The news was saying he died instantly because of pulling the poisonous barb out and he probably wouldn't have lived very long even if he had left it. But that was a reaction anyone would have, would be to pull it out anyone, an arrow ,a barb any thing get stuck in us thats what we all would do its just reaction that simple.

Let's put it this way. If he didn't pull out the barb he would have had a better chance of living. Seeing as it went through the heart anyway, the chance would have been slim nevertheless. =(

The sad thing is under normal circumstances you should not remove a foreign object until you get to Hospital. In this case it would not have mattered as the he was going to die very quickly from the poison. He died as he lived.

I think they said that the poison was already in his heart so he would have died, but he was kinda a daredevil guy so he fought till the end.

Yes, he would have died anyway, it was the poison that killed him. If he had died from blood loss, then it would have been better to leave it in. I admired him too.
