Make it a theme party!!..They are always much more interesting than normal b-day parties..Since its a girl I suggest to make it a Princess party..wear gowns lots of flashy accessories..decorate your basement as a castle or so.Or you could make it a Barbie party(i hate her..but anyway)wear outfits similar to those by your favourite doll.Or any theme party according to what this 10yr old likes..even if it was a cartoon or a tween/teen celebrity..u kno disney stuff..or even better a pirates party, decorate the basement as a ship(include a gypsy and palm reader)..that'd be great!..hope i helped!..Cheers.

My best suggestion would be to ask her to make a list of games and such that she would like at a party. Check your budget and the extremety of what was asked, and work with it. many 10 year olds have different things they like. That is the stage in your life when you are just making distinctions between things and getting into boys and what not.

find a MaryKay or Avon consultant that will come and play "make up" with the girls. Notify parents first! You can make it a mom n' me party too. Get little canvas bags, t-shirts or whatever and get glitter paint/fake jewels to decorate during party. Tie-die t-shirts, have a teenage gossip quiz...depends on what your 10 year old is into...have a music share/movie share/favorite things share where they switch gifts...

You could either hire a someone who makes jewelry or buy some bead kits yourself, and let the girls make bracelets/necklaces. If you use real pearls and gemstones, bracelets would be way cheaper. Favorite colors I've found for young girls are usually light blue, purple, and pink. Or have blank tshirts, and buy pompoms, glitter, beads, rhinestones, appliques, etc and have the girls make tshirts.
