On September 11,2001 My family and I were in my room. I was getting my son ready for school and my husband turn on the TV. So my son could watch cartons while I was brushing his hair. But as my husband started changing the channels all we saw was the news in every channel. We couldn't believe what we wear seeing!!! It was a very sad moment for all three of us.. My son who at the time was 5 years old was crying. How can a parent explain to a little boy what had happen. All we could do was start praying for all who lost their life's that day and for all the men and woman that gave all they could to rescue as many people. After praying I took my son to school, that day was so different. No one was smiling everyone was sad.. I know this day will never be forgotten and the souls of all who passed away will always be forever remembered. All I could say to all the people who lost a loved one that day is, When your heart is empty, filling it with happy memories can help you find your smile. Remember memories are the legacy of love.

I don't remember 9-01-01, but on 9-11-01...
I was at home- I was a senior in high school but had skipped school that day. I was on the phone with my then-boyfriend and we were watching the news coverage together. The funny thing about 9/11 is that no matter where we all were- scattered accross the world- we were really all together. The media coverage kept us all clued in at the same time and we were all scared, hurt, angry, and crying. 9/11 was a tragic event, but beautiful in the sense that it brought so many together- even if only for a short while.

on 09-11-01 I was a Junior in High School. I was in English class (first period) the phone rang and our teacher turned on the TV. Some people cried. Some people gasped. Some people went straight home after class. Some were silent. I was young and Innocent. I felt fear for the first time.

I was a junior in college living in my first apartment. I had just moved in the week before. My buddy turned 21 that night before so we went out to the bars to celebrate, I woke up; hungover, to my phone ringing and my mom telling me to flip on the TV. The rest of the day I spent watching the planes hit over and over.

I was in spanish class in 8th grade. The principal came over the intercom and said, "a plane has crashed into the world trade center." I had never even heard of the building since I was so young. I had no idea what was going on, so I was like, "why is a plane crash a big enough deal to tell it over the intercom?" Yeah...I learned what was really going on later that day.

Well if you meant September 11, 2001...I was getting ready for work and walked through my living room just as they showed the first plane hitting. I was completely shocked....then as the second plane hit I just sat on the floor and called my best friend. She hadnt seen it yet.....when I got to work we all watched it on the big screen TV's....and everyone coming in was so sureal and quiet. Like it wans't real or true. God how we all wish it wasn't true now.....God bless all those who died and their families.

Glued in a panic to a phone talking with airlines and the FBI all day, trying to locate my elderly father who was almost on one of those planes.

I was at a highschool function, safe and oblivious that America's world was about to chance, and unaware/not interested in the feelings other countires had for the before untouchable and powerful USA.

i was in bed, sleeping...my mom called me on the phone and told me to wake up because 'the world is falling apart.' she told me to turn on the tv, and i asked what channel...she said it didn't matter...and it didn't. it was on every channel. i saw the second plane hit...i've never felt so helpless and overwhelmed in my life. that was a surreal day. it's weird how it takes something so tragic to make you realize how good we have it in America. flags were everywhere, and i remember stores selling out of them. i was glued to the talking heads of 24/7 news channels for the next month...it really did become this...addiction, i guess. fox news, cnn, msnbc, all of them...all the time.
