You can litter train a hamster, yes, but mostly just baby hamsters, not older hams. They even sell "outhouses" and litter for small animals at pet stores.
Basically, it's a small house that you put the litter into. The actual training part takes more work. I've never even tried it, though. Once a hamster has picked an area wheere they usually go to the bathroom at, put some litter there first to see if they get used to it. After they use that, stick the box there.

Ive heard of potty training rats so hamsters might be able to. You use a littler box sort of like a cats but smaller.

Potty train? Hamsters pick a spot in their cage and they always use the same spot. Make sure you change their litter often. I have a Russian hamster. Cute. And only use Aspen bedding.

Yes, I trained mine to climb onto the toilet and go there. I tied a block of pine wood to the toilet handle and Fluffy bites the wood to pull the handle down to flush. It wipes its butt on a corn cob that is affixed to the bathroom floor.
Good Luck!

It's sort of possible...when it has a piss you need to put the piss-covered wood shavings in the area you want the hamster to piss in future. I think they mostly piss in the same place if you do that. :-)

Anything is possible. I have never heard of anyone trying it, but with patience and determination, why not?

If you have shredded newspaper in a small box, they normally will go there.
